The Philippines most famous bee will be permanently seen at Pinamalayan, a first class municipality located in the central part of Oriental Mindoro.
For more many years, residents of Pinamalayan and nearby towns, dreamt of dining in a Jollibee restaurant, an idea which remained elusive for so many years until this nation’s most famous fastfood chain started its operations last year at this rapidly developing town. Pinamalayan is the home of the famous Bahaghari Festival and the famous Moriones Festival, a celebration similar to the Moriones Festival of Marinduque, its sister province. This place is also the hometown of Johnettes, the Philippines most famous banana chips.
With the influx of companies putting up branches at the town’s Poblacion proper such as Mercury Drug, Generics Pharmacy, Metrobank, PNB and others, the emergence of Jollibee at this historic town was inevitable. Also, its population is growing every year, latest count of which was that the figure is now pegged at more than 70,000 people.
The opening of Jollibee in Pinamalayan showed the confidence of investors to the growing population and active economic activity of this town. A few meters away from Jollibee, you can find Mang Inasal, another popular franchise brand which recently opened in this town.
Pinamalayan is rapidly becoming the economic yardstick of the second district of Oriental Mindoro considering that majority of the tertiary educational institutions are located at this town. With its wider road network and plenty of idle lands mostly located in the central part of the town, the opportunity for growth is unlimited for companies who wanted to share in its success.
It also swiftly becoming an alternative tourism destination in our country because of its numerous hidden beauty including the sea fronting Sibale, the nearest Romblon Island and which has rich economic and cultural ties with Pinamalayan.
